How does drop-off and pickup work?

All drop-offs and pickups are arranged by appointment only at our Charleston, SC location. Once you submit an appointment request, we will confirm your drop-off window and ensure your gifts are ready for collection at your designated pickup time.

What is your standard turnaround time?

Our standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours. Please note turnaround times can vary slightly during peak holiday periods depending on order volume. We recommend scheduling early for holiday orders.

Do you offer a rush turnaround service?

Yes! We offer a 24-hour rush service for an additional $20 fee, subject to workshop availability and scheduling confirmation.

How long do I have to pick up my wrapped gifts?

Wrapped items must be picked up within 7 days of completion, unless specific alternate arrangements have been agreed upon in advance.

Do I bring my own wrapping paper and supplies?

You have two simple options! You can provide your own wrapping paper, gift tags, ribbons, and bows, and we supply the professional labor. Alternatively, you can use our curated selection of quality papers, ribbons, and tags for an extra fee (+$3 per small/medium gift, +$5 per large gift).

What finishing touches are included with each gift?

Every wrapped gift includes neat, tailored folds, a handwritten gift tag, and a lovely finishing accent—such as a festive ribbon, bow, or both. We ensure a tasteful variety so gifts under your tree look dynamic and distinct.

Are there any item size or weight restrictions?

Yes. For safety and handling reasons, we cannot accept any gifts weighing over 50 lbs. Oversized, irregular, fragile, or unusually complex items require an advance quote before drop-off.

Are there items you cannot accept?

We strictly do not accept live animals of any kind, nor any hazardous, illegal, perishable, leaking, or unsafe items. The Gift Wrap Cottage is not responsible for the internal contents of wrapped packages.
